Privacy Policy — Tabataly

The short version: Tabataly does not collect, store, share, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything the app does happens on your device.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers the Tabataly iPhone and Apple Watch app (the “App”), published by rustunit (“we”, “us”). It explains what data the App handles — which, in short, is none.

2. Data we collect

We collect nothing. The App does not gather personal information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, contacts, location, health data, or any other information about you. We do not ask you to create an account or to sign in.

3. Data we store

Your workout settings (activity time, rest time, and number of rounds) are kept only on your device so the App can remember your last setup. This data never leaves your device, is not readable by us, and is removed if you delete the App.

4. Data we share

Because we collect and store no personal data, there is nothing to share. We do not sell, rent, or disclose any information to third parties. The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

5. Network access

The App works entirely offline. It does not require an internet connection to run a workout and does not send your data to us or to any server. The only outbound links in the App open our website in your browser if you choose to tap them.

6. Device permissions

Audio & background audio: used to ring the interval bell — including while the App is in the background, the screen is locked, or the silent switch is on. Audio is played locally; nothing is recorded and the microphone is never accessed.
Haptics (Apple Watch): used to tap your wrist at interval transitions. No sensor or health data is read.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is safe for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

8. Apple’s role

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Any data Apple collects as part of providing the App Store (for example, download or purchase records) is handled under Apple’s Privacy Policy, not by us, and is outside our control.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Since the App collects no data, we don’t expect material changes.
